However, during our chat (check video from 05:51-07:15), Karan also touched upon the topic of his relationship with ex-girlfriend, Mona Singh. It’s been 13 years that the duo split. But even then and till today, both the actors maintained a low profile on their break-up.
Karan, who was in an emotional mood after his release from jail, elaborated on what went wrong between the two. We asked the actor- what was the reason of their split, as everyone adored them as a couple and wanted them to be together.
Ask him if he wanted to settle down at that point of time? Karan is quick to reply, “Yes, I wanted to settle down very quickly.”
Mona stays almost 3 blocks away from Karan’s building, so does he bump into her often and talk? The actor replies, ‘There is just social hi and hello if we meet but no animosity as such. You can never behave ill with someone you have loved.”
We also asked Karan if Mona tried to reach to him during this testing phase. “She couldn’t have. Even if she tried I wouldn’t know as I didn’t have my phones. I still have 2500 unchecked messages on WhatsApp,” concluded Karan.
